Children’s Church Visit

April 8, 2009

img_04752On March 29 we had the wonderful privilege of speaking with the children’s church group at Faith Fellowship in Winfield, AL.  These kids were so excited to learn more about missions.   From Panama hats to blowguns, from looking at a slide show to a little friendly competition between boys and girls, these guys were AWESOME!

The leaders of this group, Joel and Chanda Bartlett, have a heart for instilling a love for mission work in these precious ones that they lead.

What a blessing!!   Also, what an encouragement to us!  Keep it up, guys!! img_05068

Hope to see some of this bunch in Ecuador on a short-term adventure some day!!

EAGLE Classes

November 20, 2008

Jeff, Zac, and I (Belinda) were all involved in our own ways with EAGLE’s enrichment classes held each Tuesday for 10 weeks in the fall semester. Zac bowled on the Stark Industries team (he had nothing to do with the name, he says; someone else came up with it!!) and was in the Business Tech class, where he learned about all different kinds of technological jobs in northeast Mississippi.(From left to right)Will, Zac, Jacob, Chris, T.J. & Caleb

Jeff and I helped take care of the bowling bunch – from shoes and lane problems to money and crowd control – not to mention the pointers that Jeff could offer the kids that were interested. Quite honestly, most of the kids are like me – let’s just bowl and have fun!!002

I also had the privilege of teaching a fun class for 3, 4, & 5 year olds. We sang a little, stretched our muscles a little, and played a LOT! What imaginations this bunch had!067

We will certainly miss this part of our lives when we leave~

MOT with GO

November 20, 2008

mot-july-2008-029

During the last week in July, Jeff and I (Belinda) spent a week in Tupelo, MS at Global Outreach’s Missionary Orientation Training. We were blessed, encouraged, and challenged! We are excited about beginning this new adventure with the Lord! This is a picture of the entire bunch of us who attended MOT that week, along with some of the GO staff and missionaries who taught us that week.
